About the Nichupté Lagoon 

Our tours take place in the beautiful Nichupté Lagoon, a coastal nature reserve spanning seven fresh and saltwater lagoons. This lagoon is a protected natural area of flora and fauna, with abundant species of plants and animals, including the protected species of red mangrove, which is of great importance for the coastal ecosystem of Quintana Roo Channels.During the tour of the lagoon, you will be able to spot various species of local birds and fish, including albatrosses, hawks, herons, cormorants, barracudas, stingrays, pufferfish, starfish, needlefish, and many others.The waters in the lagoon are calm and easy to navigate. Ideal for beginners!

A1: Our kayak tour includes double or single kayak, a lifejacket, a dry bag for your belongings, bilingual guides (English and Spanish), water, snack, lifeguards, a warehouse to leave your belongings, and parking (valet parking also available).

A2: Our tours are between 2 to 2.5 hours.

A3: We offer kayak tours for any level, from beginners to advanced.

A4: Yes, you can bring your own kayak. However, kayak rental is included in the price.

A5: You will see various species of local marine life, including barracudas, stingrays, pufferfish, starfish, needlefish, snapper, grouper, and tarpon, as well as crabs, lobsters, and other crustaceans. You may also have the opportunity to spot dolphins, manatees, and a variety of bird species that call the lagoon home.

A6: All tours are guided by our local bilingual instructors.

A8: We provide life jackets and equipment in perfect condition. Additionally, all our guides are certified lifeguards.
